How it works
Nothing runs until you ask. You choose what to generate, and what to be quizzed on.
Type notes, photograph handwritten pages, and add PDFs, Word documents and slides.
On one note or a whole unit. Questions, flashcards and a summary, from what you wrote.
Quiz yourself, clear today’s cards, and watch each topic’s mastery move.
Keep
Type while the lecture happens, photograph the pages you wrote by hand, drop in the slides. Folders nest the way your course does, and every word saves as you write it.
Start your notebookPhotograph a page and it’s transcribed into your note.
Up to 70 pages a file, placed right where you’re typing.
Class, unit, lecture — nested however your course is.
No Save button, and it always says when it last saved.
Quiz
Four options, one right answer, written from your material and checked against it. Quiz a single note or a whole class, and after every answer see why the right one is right, and why yours wasn’t.
Try it on your notesReview
Flashcards made from the same notes, on a spaced-repetition schedule. Reveal the back, rate it Again, Hard, Good or Easy, and the card comes back on a schedule set by how well you knew it.
Make your first cardsEverything due across all your classes, one tap away.
Miss a card and it returns before the review ends.
See the line it came from and the note it lives in.
Every card in a folder, due or not, the night before.
Ask
Open it beside a note, a folder or a question you got wrong. It answers from your material, names the note it drew on, and tells you plainly when something isn’t there.
Ask about your notesFocus
Mastery on every note and folder, in the structure you built. Notes you haven’t been tested on say so instead of showing zero, and the weakest rise to the top, one tap from a quiz.
See where you standYour last twenty answers on a note, as a percentage.
Every unit and class shows how its notes are doing.
Notes you haven’t answered yet are marked untested.
Start on any note or folder straight from progress.

I photographed three weeks of handwritten pharmacology notes and it quizzed me on all of it. When I get one wrong, it tells me why my answer was wrong, not just which one was right.

Questions
Typed notes with headings, lists, bold and italic, plus PNG and JPEG photos, PDFs, Word documents and PowerPoint slides. Each file can be up to 60 MB and 70 pages.
iPhone photos saved as HEIC aren’t accepted yet. Set your camera to Most Compatible, or share the photo as a JPEG.
Yes. A photographed or scanned page is transcribed into your note, page by page, and marked as transcribed so you can tell it apart from what you typed.
Only when you press Generate, on one note or a whole folder. Nothing is made while you type or upload. If you change a note afterwards, it’s marked out of date and keeps its old questions until you generate again.
If you leave before it finishes, whatever was done is kept, and the next Generate makes only what’s missing.
Multiple choice with four options and one right answer, written in the style of exam questions and checked against your material before you see them. A note gets between 5 and 20, depending on how much it holds. Every note is generated the same way, so there’s no type or difficulty to choose.
No. It answers only from the notes and files in what you have open, and names the note it used. If your material doesn’t cover something, it tells you.
Generate and the tutor tell you which allowance is used up and when it comes back: tutor turns at midnight, and pages on the 1st of the month, both in your own time zone. Quizzes, card reviews and progress are never counted, so studying what you’ve already generated never stops.
Free has 20 pages a month and 3 tutor turns a day. Plus has 200 and 25. Unlimited has no monthly or daily allowance, and you can move up from your account page at any time.
Create an account, then choose a plan from your account page, billed monthly or yearly. Plus is $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year, and Unlimited is $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year. Payment goes through our payment provider, so we never see your card.
Unlimited has no monthly page allowance and no daily tutor turn allowance. It’s for one student’s own studying, and a published fair-use limit only applies to use far beyond what studying needs.
Yes. Your notes, everything generated from them, and your progress live in your account on every device. Tutor conversations are the exception: they stay on the device where you had them, and you can clear them any time.
Not yet. Questions are shown exactly as they were generated. If a note’s questions miss the mark, edit the note and generate it again.
